Strong essay about a highly electable candidate, Doug.

He is my candidate for sure. I hope people will really listen to what he has to say. Thank you for covering his campaign.

As the saying goes, "All politics are local" and in a primary race those who don' know a candidate first hand, will select the one closest to them, never mind what their issues may be. I, for one, believe it better to vote from the position of knowledge and not locality. Turek has my support and I believe he has the gumption to do exactly what needs to be done for the little people who most often have to wait in line behind those with money, to even catch a crumb. I live in Eastern Iowa and look forward to his win in the primary and eventual win in Congress!

Great coverage. More Iowans need to sit and talk with Mr. Turek. He’s very thoughtful. A refreshing intelligence which we need so desperately…..

Very concise, informative and convincing examination of this profile in courage.

I agree with Larry Petersen's statement, "He has a kind of destiny." Josh has that impression about him. His smile really shows he is ready to be our Senatorial leader.

Did he discuss Iowa’s environmental issues especially as they relate to Big Ag?

Turek's campaign is definitely skyrocketing right now. I've seen the VoteVeterans ad over a dozen times, and he's getting national spotlight with his interview on Pod Save America. I've only heard of Wahls' name in passing. My biggest question with this primary are what specific policies are they fighting for as our US Senator. Larry Peterson says "He has all the right beliefs". What are those? He talks about our disastrous voucher program, but what he will do about it on the national stage? If Turek and Wahls are similar to in policy, will it boil down to which one is more likely to beat Hinson? I'd like to think Ernest has done such damage to herself that her endorsement of Hinson makes her immediately unqualified, but I'm looking for the candidate that will win and fight for Iowans.

I have contributed to this campaign and encourage everyone to do so. Josh has resilience, stamina, and moral courage. This article demonstrates some of that. Nicely done, Mr. Burns.
