I could be wrong but I hear 118 years old Iowa Republican Senator Chuck Grassley is running for President in 2028.
Maybe it's time for Tom Harkin to run for President Again? I remember Harkin ran once....was that 1992 ??? Well maybe the 2nd time's a charm ?
Imagine a national campaign....Grassley against Harkin for President.....although I think Harkin lives on Marlin Brandon's Island.....I could be wrong.....and who wants to leave paradise....???
In Davenport I don't think that the city government believes they have to follow the Americans With Disabilities Act ....but I know it exists.....I wonder who enforces the ADA if the local government violates it ???
40 years is a long time, and we forget about things that happened in that length of time that rubbed some of us the wrong way. I for one, didn't care to find out that after all was said and done, he wasn't a veteran of Vietnam. That is something you just don't "forget", you know it as sure as the nose on your face! I've been there and done that, so I know! I have never been in favor of Senators or Congressmen who run their "Iowa Connection" through a Post Office Box and retire to the Caribbean, a very long way from here! Especially after drafting a bill to help the Handicapped with assessibility giving lots of time to get all those changes finished and the final law taking effect shortly after he left for retirement in the Caribbean! He wasn't Grassley, in his defense, but he certainly was far from perfect; we forget that, especially when we look over the cast of charactors that are currently holding sway who can't or won't try and stop Trump and his mobsters.
