In most of her commentary I believe she is spot on, and one of those points I could not agree more, the messaging has to fit the electorate, no matter if they watch Fox News or not! Here in the first dostrict Bohanan is soft peddling her growing up period, and the tradgedy of her father dying and she having to wait tables etc.to make ends meet. Not much on details, and because I am waiting for some sort of information on what she stands for beyond the abortion issue and not hearing much, the first thing I think about from that first ad was it never says where she is from? I found out she is from Florida, and graduated from Florida colleges with a degree in engineering. Then she went into law and found her way to Iowa with a position at the University of Iowa College of Law. Moved into State Government and now is attempting a shot at Federal politics with a real chance of upset Miller-Meeks. That is a pretty rapid rise skipping from one thing to another! I have two yard signs for her, but I sure would appreciate more information than " I need money, I need money!" The issues she certainly should have an opinion on which concern Iowa have to get beyond abortion, to attract some of us knuckle draggers who happen to be male! Like it or not, you still need these votes to win. Other than that, there are groups who would gladly vote for her on certain issues if they had the feeling she supported them, water quality, the CO2 pipeline, and other enviromental issues for example! We have to know these things for us to make decisions as to what or who we vote for!
This is so on point! I agree and am worried about our state, in more ways than one. It’s hard to convince my own family, so I know the work needs to be done in this state to combat the emotional fearmongering pushed by conservative agendas.
