Hawaii is Barry Obama’s home state, Illinois is Senator Barack Obama’s home state, but Iowa is President Obama’s home state. One of the last questions I asked President Barack Obama during an interview in his first term was this: Would he consider locating his presidential library and museum in Iowa?
Great suggestion! But I doubt Obama would do the fundraising necessary, and I think it would be very difficult to obtain the funds from people in Iowa.
What a wonderful idea! Regardless of which party (or lack thereof) we endorse, we can all feel pride in the important role the Iowa caucuses have played in our national politics. Obama is one of the best examples of this.
